About Us and Platform Description
Instant-Tutor.co.uk is a UK-based digital platform that facilitates access to higher education support services by connecting users with independent freelance experts. These experts are not employees, representatives, or agents of Instant-Tutor and act independently when engaging with users.
The platform functions solely as an intermediary. It does not direct, influence, or control the manner in which services are delivered. All responsibilities related to performance and outcomes rest solely with the individual experts.
User Content and Privacy
Any materials, documents, communications, or submissions provided by users through the platform are used solely for the purpose of delivering and improving our services. Instant-Tutor does not claim ownership and does not use this content for any purpose unrelated to service provision.
Users’ personal data will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which outlines data collection, storage, and use practices. Use of the platform constitutes agreement with the data processing described therein.
Instant-Tutor takes user privacy and data security seriously. Appropriate technical and organisational safeguards are in place to protect user information. Data is hosted on secure infrastructure and managed in line with relevant UK data protection laws.
Fees, Payments, and Refunds
Users are required to make payments in advance for services facilitated through Instant-Tutor. All service fees are clearly stated prior to confirmation of any engagement. Instant-Tutor acts solely as the transaction facilitator and does not retain responsibility for the services themselves.
Refunds may be requested within twelve (12) days following delivery, subject to review. All refund requests will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis, and eligibility will depend on the specific circumstances surrounding service performance and user engagement.
It is the user’s responsibility to ensure valid and up-to-date payment details are provided. Instant-Tutor shall not be held liable for delays or failures in service access resulting from payment processing issues.
Termination, Dispute Resolution, and Liability
Instant-Tutor retains the right to suspend or terminate access to any user at any time, with or without prior notice, and for any reason deemed necessary, including but not limited to breaches of these Terms.
In the event of any dispute arising out of or in connection with the use of the platform, parties agree to resolve the matter through binding arbitration conducted by a UK-based arbitration body. Users waive the right to participate in class action proceedings related to any dispute with the platform or its experts.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Instant-Tutor disclaims any and all liability for the actions, omissions, or performance of freelance experts. Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless Instant-Tutor from any claims or liabilities resulting from their use of the platform or engagement with experts.
Freelancer’s Pledge
Freelance experts engaging through Instant-Tutor must uphold professional conduct in line with the platform’s standards and values. They are required to provide truthful and accurate information about their background, including CV details, qualifications, and relevant experience.
All experts must undergo verification, including credential checks and background screening. Participation in any unlawful, unethical, or unauthorised activity on the platform is strictly prohibited.
Violation of these requirements may result in immediate termination of cooperation and removal from the platform without notice or further recourse.
Intellectual Property
All platform content, including but not limited to software, branding, visual elements, and written material, is the exclusive property of Instant-Tutor or its licensors. This material is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Users and experts are not permitted to copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or otherwise use any part of the platform’s intellectual property without prior written consent from Instant-Tutor.
Unauthorised use of the platform’s trademarks, interface, or proprietary processes is strictly prohibited and may result in legal action.
Miscellaneous Provisions
These Terms constitute the entire and exclusive agreement between the user and Instant-Tutor concerning use of the platform. They supersede all prior agreements, whether written or oral, relating to the same subject matter.
If any part of these Terms is deemed invalid or unenforceable by a competent authority, the remaining provisions will continue to be valid and enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by law.
No failure or delay in enforcing any part of these Terms shall be construed as a waiver of any future right to enforce the same or other provisions. Any waiver must be made in writing to be considered valid.
